3. Use of our website
You may use our website for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that breaches Zimbabwean or other applicable law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, our servers, or any system connected to the website.
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
- Use automated means (such as scrapers or bots) to collect data from the website without our prior written permission.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when interacting with us.
4. Enrolment in our programmes
4.1 Enrolment
You become a Learner when we confirm your enrolment in a Programme — either directly with you, or through your employer (where you are enrolled by a Corporate Client). Enrolment is subject to availability and, where applicable, to meeting any prerequisites.
4.2 Programme delivery
We will deliver the Programme as described in the Programme materials provided to you at enrolment. We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to Programme content, format, dates, instructors, or delivery method where necessary to maintain the quality and integrity of the Programme.
4.3 Programme cancellation by us
If we cancel a Programme entirely (rather than rescheduling it), you will be offered either a full refund of fees paid or a place on a future cohort, at your choice. We are not liable for any incidental costs you may have incurred (such as travel or accommodation) in connection with a cancelled Programme.
4.4 Attendance and participation
Learners are expected to attend Programme sessions, complete assigned exercises, and submit any required reflections in order to receive a Certificate of Completion. Where attendance falls significantly below expectations, we may, at our discretion, decline to issue a Certificate.
5. Fees, payment, and refunds
5.1 Fees
Programme fees are quoted at the time of enrolment. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes. Fees may be paid in Zimbabwean dollars (ZWL), US dollars (USD), or other currencies we accept at the time of payment.
5.2 Payment
Payment terms are set out in the invoice or enrolment confirmation we send you. We may, at our discretion, decline to enrol you, or suspend your access to a Programme, where fees remain unpaid beyond the agreed payment date.
5.3 Refunds for individual learners
Where you (as an individual) have paid for a Programme:
- If you cancel more than 7 days before the Programme start date, you will receive a full refund.
- If you cancel between 7 days and 24 hours before the start date, you will receive a 50% refund or a credit toward a future Programme of equal value.
- If you cancel within 24 hours of the start date, or once the Programme has begun, no refund is payable, although we may, at our discretion, offer a credit toward a future Programme.
5.4 Refunds for corporate clients
Refunds and rescheduling for Programmes booked by Corporate Clients are governed by the separate written agreement between Skaitbridge Lab and the Corporate Client. In the absence of a separate agreement, the terms in clause 5.3 apply.
6. Certificates and credentials
On successful completion of a Programme, we will issue you with a Certificate of Completion bearing a unique Certificate ID and a verification URL of the form skaitbridgelab.com/verify/<Certificate ID>.
By accepting a Certificate, you agree that:
- We may maintain a verification record so that third parties (such as employers) can confirm the authenticity of your Certificate.
- The verification page will display your name, the Programme completed, your completion date, and the Certificate ID. No other personal information is shown.
- You may request removal of your verification record at any time by contacting contact@skaitbridgelab.com. Once removed, your Certificate may no longer be verifiable.
We reserve the right to revoke a Certificate where we discover that it was issued in error, on the basis of false information, or where the Learner is later found to have committed serious misconduct in connection with the Programme.
7. Code of conduct
Skaitbridge Lab is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. As a Learner, you agree to:
- Treat fellow Learners, instructors, and Skaitbridge Lab staff with courtesy and respect.
- Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, bullying, or behaviour that creates a hostile environment for others.
- Not record, photograph, or share Programme sessions, materials, or the personal information of other Learners without permission.
- Act honestly in all assessments and reflections.
We reserve the right to remove from a Programme any Learner who breaches this code, without refund of fees paid.
8. Inclusive learning commitments
Skaitbridge Lab's mission includes building inclusive learning pathways — particularly for deaf learners and others who have historically been excluded from professional and AI training. We commit to making reasonable adjustments to our Programmes to support accessibility, and we welcome you to tell us before enrolment about any accommodations you may need.
Our commitment to inclusion does not constitute a guarantee of any specific employment, certification, or licensing outcome.
9. Intellectual property
All Materials provided in connection with a Programme — including slide decks, written exercises, recordings, certificates, and the Skaitbridge Lab name, logo, and brand — are the intellectual property of Skaitbridge Lab (Private) Limited or our licensors, and are protected by Zimbabwean and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may use Materials for your own personal learning. You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, sell, or republish Materials, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.
- Use the Skaitbridge Lab name, logo, or brand to imply endorsement of any product, service, or organisation without our prior written permission.
- Use Materials to deliver competing training services.
10. Your content and reflections
When you submit content to us — including reflection responses, written exercises, feedback, or testimonials — you retain ownership of that content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that content for the following purposes:
- Delivering and improving our Programmes.
- Internal research and reporting (in anonymised form).
- Public marketing of our Programmes — only with your explicit, separate consent.
You confirm that any content you submit is your own, does not infringe anyone else's rights, and does not contain unlawful or defamatory material.
11. Third-party services and links
Our website and Programmes may include links to or use of third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded — including, in Zimbabwe, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that:
- Our Programmes are provided on an "as is" basis. While we take all reasonable care in their design and delivery, we do not guarantee any specific career, professional, financial, or other outcome from participation.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of profit, loss of business opportunity, or loss of data.
- Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with a Programme is limited to the total fees paid by you (or by your Corporate Client on your behalf) for that Programme.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Skaitbridge Lab harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our Materials, or any unlawful act by you in connection with our Programmes.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to our website or Programmes if you materially breach these Terms. Where reasonably possible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach. Termination does not affect any rights or remedies that have accrued before termination.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of our services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
Before commencing any legal action, you agree to first contact us in writing and attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith. If we cannot reach an agreement within 30 days, the dispute may be referred to mediation, and failing that, to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Zimbabwean courts.
For Learners and Corporate Clients based outside Zimbabwe: nothing in this clause prevents you from bringing a claim in your local jurisdiction where you have a non-waivable right to do so under local consumer protection law.
17. Contact us
